This topic sometime raises a big issue and hype among Nepalese. Infact, Buddha was born in Nepal. One should visit Lumbini, his birthplace in Nepal which lies south-west of the Capital City Kathmandu. The prince who left his palace in search of eternal peace and meaning in life, ended up in Nirvana or enlightenment. Since then, his path followed by his decedents have been spread among millions of people around the world in various ways. Nepal is one of the high risk countries regarding earthquake. This does not mean that earthquake in a large scale occurs here every day or even a month but past events has shown that there is a high risk of earthquake every 50 years. The reason why there is a risk of earthquake is because of the plates underneath. The so called Indian Plates move every year 5 cm against the Eurasian plate. This causes the himalayas to be pushed up. This is a process that has been going for million of years. The earthquake of 2015 in April is one of the latest high scale (Magnitude 7.8 with a depth of 8.2 km) earthquake that resulted in a big economic and geographic catastrophe in this Himalayan country. This earthquake resulted the killing of around 9000 people and 22000 were injured.

If yetiland-nepal has offered a complete package, one do not need to book further.
One has to keep in mind, there are often flight delays in early morning in the winter season (Nov to Dec) due to heavy fog and lack of visibility in airports. There are experiences that people have to wait for longer hours and even after waiting the flight would be canceled for the day. Normally yetiland-nepal.de dont offer flight holidays in such season rather we offer tourist buses for that.

Nepal has its own calendar system and is known as Vikram Sambat. Currently the year 2077 is running (see the date posted to compare). The new year in Nepal lies almost in the mid of April, which is also the summer time in Nepal. People also follow lunar calendar for some religious procession, ceremony or family celebration. There are various ancient legends, showing the new years origin. Nepal is a country with different ethnic groups. Each group has its own ancient history and thus exist also different local new year dates. A typical example is Loshar (which is also followed by Sherpas).

Apart from the rainy season (Start July until End of August) any season is suitable to make a holiday. Yetiland-nepal.de does not recommended to have a holiday in terrain region of Nepal during rainy season.
Summer can be hot with temperature rising from around 25 to 40 C, depending upon the location where one is situated.
In the upper Himalaya region, the temperature can rise upto 30 in summer while in the lower lands of terai region mostly on the southern part of nepal it can reach 40 degree as well.
The winter is mostly sunny on the day and cold during the morning and the evening days. If one has experience Winter in Greece, it is somehow the same feeling during the winter in capital Kathmandu. However, these are not comparable, one should understand that during the time as of Mid December the sun shines during the day keeping warm and in the evening would be drastically cold with temperature upto 5 but in Himalaya drastically reduced beyond 0 C.

One can visit Nepal at any season. However, to warn explicitly, there are some natural calamities like heavy flooding during rainy seasons (mid of July until mid of August) and extreme cold on Himalayas (end of November until mid of December). Nepal has high heels and mountains. The high mountains are one of the reasons that Nepal is very rich in water resources (high current rivers, beautiful lakes). On heavy rainfall or mil rainfall for 3-4 days lead to flooding in Terrain regions hence one has to be careful in visiting these regions during rainy seasons. Otherwise in hilly areas apart from the rainy season, even in Winter, sun shines during the day. This makes a warm, cosy and convenient winter suitable for travelling.
