- Arrival at Kathmandu:
Arrival at Kathmandu and then transfer to hotel with a short briefing session reflecting ancient local tradition, shrines, and temples in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu. (1000m). - Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour:
Visit World Heritage site in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath ( also called Monkey Temple) as a half day trip. Overnight stay in Kathmandu (1000m/280ft). - Kathmandu – Besisahar (7600m) :
After having a charming and spectacular view of natural green forest on the way to Besisahar following through Trisuli river you will reach Besisahar after 6 hours drive. There one can have experience of beautiful villages, streams, rivers, paddy fields. - Besisahar – Bhahundanda (1310m):
The trekking begins. The route follows the Marsyandi River upstream, crossing the long suspension bridge and passing a beautiful thin waterfall with a fine bathing pool. We ascend to the town of Bahundanda, Bahun reserving hills. There are good views to the north and a little known hot spring as well. - Bahundanda – Chamje (1430 m)
The gorge becomes narrower as one crosses a cantilever bridge followed by a suspension bridge. Pass a few small settlements along the route and Chamje. Having traveled upstream, observe many changes in the people, architecture, and vegetation. Houses are now built of rocks, the vegetation is less tropical and the culture more Tibetan like. - Chamje – Bagarchhap (2160 m) :
The gorge becomes more impressive after leaving Chame. Chame is a valley with beautiful routes and is naturally outstanding. Cross into the district of Manang and see more Bhote (one of the casting or cultural group) People. These are primarily agro-pastoralists and the real Trans – Himalayan traders of the region. The route climbs gradually to the town of Bagarchhap (butcher’s Shop). The houses of Danaque where one can see flat-roofed houses because there occurs less rainfall than that in the south. - Bagarchhap – Chame (2670 m):
Leaving Bagarchhap the valley becomes slender and picturesque. The vegetation is temperate with broad-leaved forest. Chame, the district headquarter of Manang gives frequent touches with the religious building and allows one to witness a hot spring. - Chame – Pisang (3200 m) :
Continue through unrelenting narrow valley of pine, hemlock and cypress forests. The trail through a serene forests leads to lower Pisang (1000m Higher), which is a ‘must’ station for an amazing view of Annapurna 2. This arid region is a rain shadow of Himalaya. - Pisang – Manang (3540 m)
Two routes are available as options. Lower routes or the higher routes among which the later one takes longer but offers outstanding views of Annapurna Himal and also with few trekkers. Both routes converge to the large and interesting village of Braga, which is a seat of the oldest monastery in the area. The Gompa is about 900 years old and belongs to Kargyupa sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and contains some unique works of arts. At the end of the day, the destination Manang is reached, the place having a cultural display of Sherpa & Gurung people. - Manang (3540 m):
Acclimatization at Manang. This is just spending a day to adjust with the altitude and climatic condition after climbing to higher elevation from Pokhara through the vigorous trail on foot. Manang itself is a spectacular location with many attraction of lakes, caves, moraine, hills, monastery or local activities of the town. One can utilize this day to see the beautiful parts and wonderful people of this place. - Manang – Khangsar (4050 m):
Beyond Manang, begins places where no modern world facilities available. Cross small tributaries and contour along pleasant meadows with occasional birch groves. There is chance to see herds of blue sheep. Through the estuary of Marsyandi River, you can have a sunset view in the mountains all around. Khangsar is one of the oldest residency for Tibetan people. - Khangsar – Tilicho Lake Base Camp (4750 m)
At this day the altitude rises gradually. The night overtay is at Tilicho lake base camp, a nearby camp also regarded as heaven. Leaving the Marsyandi River, one reached the hilltop and just by the highest lake in the world. If you are lucky enough, you may spot a snow leopard nearby here at dusk. It’s a base camp for crossing Tilicho pass. - Tilicho Lake Base Camp – Meso Kanto Pass – Namphu (5350 m)
The trail now leaves the river valley with small glacier and climbs steadily over lateral moraine. The pass marked by a large claim is the high point of your trek. It is an exhilarating geographical feature dividing big Himalayan valleys. For below to the west is the Kaligandaki River. Your trail will descend in the direction for the village of Namphu, located in poplar grove. - Namphu – Jomsom (2710 m)
From Namphu one will see people from Mustang, a restricted area to the north, which come to sell handicrafts to pilgrims. Among their merchandise is the highly revered mollusk fossil called Shaligram. Pass some ancient caves and see the impressive White Mountains that is Mt. Dhaulagiri. Transit at the significant valley of Upper Mustang. - Jomsom – Pokhara
Fly to Pokhara early in the morning; descend through green forest hills, all the way to the valley floor, with the biggest gorge, spectacular mountain views from where one can follow the way to the city of Pokhara. - Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu:
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu in tourist bus heading up to Damauli, Dhumre, Mugling, Kurintar etc up to Kathmandu. - Kathmandu see off:
Transfer to International airport for your final departure.
