Night in Kathmandu. - KATHMANDU :
After breakfast transfer to visit/Pray Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath & after Lunch, city tour around Kathmandu Darbar Square AND walk to hotel via typical Market visit.
Night in Kathmandu.
Arrangement day for Trek permit and Govt. paper work. - KATHMANDU – LUKLA (Flight) – PHAKDING :
Early morning transfer to the Domestic Airport for Lukla flight: gateway to the Khumbu/Everest region.
Meet local porters and walk downhill to the Sherpa settlement of Cheplung and follows the Dudh Khosi Valley before ascending to Ghat.
Night in Phakding. - PHAKDING – NAMCHE BAZAR :
The trail meanders through pine forest, crossing suspension bridges and several Sherpa villages to Jorsale: entrance to Sagarmatha National Park and permit checkpoint. Thamserku (6,618m) glistens above the village. Continue to confluence of Bhote and Dudh Khosi Rivers then climb steadily via the high Tenzing- Hilary suspension bridge with inspiring glimpses of Everest and Nuptse – Lhotse ridge. A final three hour forest ascent leads to the administrative town of Namche Bazaar. Night in Namche Bazar. - ACCLIMATIZATION DAY at Namche Bazar:
Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and health experts recommend to stop at least one extra night. Be active: climb high and sleep low is the acclimatization advice. Namche Bazaar has ATMs, cyber cafés, delicious restaurant food and bakeries. Walk to the traditional Sherpa village of Khumjung (3,780m/12,402ft): with fine views of Thamserku, Kangtega, Ama Dablam and Everest. - NAMCHE BAZAR – TENGBOCHE:
Easy walk until Phunki and ascend towards Tengboche village to visitTengboche monastery, (biggest monastery of the Everest region). The Sagarmatha National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The monastery is blessed with panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. The Tengboche Monastery opens at 3:00pm, so if we reach there by 3 o’clock we can observe a Buddhist religious ceremony. Night in Tengboche. - TENGBOCHE – DINGBOCHE:
The trail descends and passes through lush forests of birch, confer and rhododendron trees. While trekking one can admire good views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Walk downhill to Debuche and cross the Imja River to reach Pangboche. Walk through the upper Pangboche trail and admire the Himalayan vista and the Pangboche Monastery. Walk to the Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche. Night in Dingboche. - ACCLIMATIZATION DAY at Dingboche :
Spending a day in Dingboche that helps to acclimate to high altitude. View of the valley and world’s tallest peaks. These include Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu, Cholatse, Taboche and dominant peaks as Lobuche West, Lobuche East . Beatiful Himalayan peaks rising above the Khumbu Khola, Imja Khola and beatifuly Valley with Dingboche village. Night in Dingboche. - DINGBOCHE – DUGLHA :
Enjoying short journey from Dinboche to Duglha, trek across the narrow valley towards closer to Dusa (The campsite of the first successful Everest Expedition in 1953). Few minute enjoyment with the Mt. Pumori and trail descends and curves to bid goodbye to Mt. Pumori. Cross a stream and ascend to Duglha, a tiny village with a huge strand of prayer flags hung across the valley. After reaching Duglha, 45 minutes walk to visit the Memorial Shrine. Night in Duglha. - DUGLHA – LOBUCHE :
Ascending the wonderful Khumbu Glacier, the trail passes through boulder-strewn slopes toward Chupki Lhara. The top of the ridge is filled with prayer flags and stones which are memorial shrines for climbers who lost their lives on Mt. Everest. As the trail drops to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, one can find oneself among several great peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. Gently crossing Khumbu Glacier one can also see Mt. Nuptse. Night in Lobuche. - LOBUCHE – GORAK SHEP :
Ascend and descend mostly on a glacier path. There is also a lot of meandering on rough terrains. As the base camp is reached one can enjoy the incredible melt patterns and admire the gently rounded ice towers on the upper part of the Khumbu glacier. The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful. Enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp. After soaking in the beauty, walk back towards Gorak Shep to spend the night. Night in Gorak Shep. - GORAK SHEP – KALA PATTHAR – PHERICHE :
Early wakeup and walk up to Kala Patthar (dark, snowy and chilly winds). Climbing up the fairly steep trail at a comfortable pace and view Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse mountains. After spending some time at the summit of Kala Patthar, walk back to Gorak Shep for Lunch. Trekkers who visit the Everest Base Camp today will have an early breakfast as the hike up to the Everest base camp takes longer than the hike to Kala Patthar. After lunch descend to Pheriche. Night in Pheriche. - PHERICHE – NAMCHE BAZAAR :
Approximately 2,000 feet lower in elevation and walk on a trail. Descend through a hillside filled with rhododendron and juniper trees and cross a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Descend rapidly through pine forest, spot mountains goats, pheasants and other wild animals and birds. The path eventually reaches Sansa with awesome view of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse mountains. Walk through winding trails followed by walk through a forest before reaching Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar. - NAMCHE BAZAAR- LUKLA :
Trek to Namche Bazaar on a rocky terrain. It is mostly a downhill trek on a trail alongside the Dudh Koshi River. Cross several suspension bridges, pass by several monasteries and villages before reaching Lukla. After reaching Lukla, spend rest of the day taking rest as the last day on the mountains. Overnight in Lukla. - LUKLA – KATHMANDU (Flight) :
Catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu after long mountain journey. One can take a rest or do some souvenir shopping, or explore any other areas of Kathmandu. Both souvenir shopping or sightseeing with help of the guides. A farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of the journey. Overnight in Kathmandu. - FINAL DEPARTURE :
After Breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu International Airport or Bus Station for next destination.
